Solly Malatsi Calls Out TikTok: "Pay South African Creators Fairly!

The Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies has boldly called out TikTok for excluding South African creators from its monetisation programs, demanding that the platform pay local talent just like it does in the US, Europe, and Asia. With over 17 million active users and countless viral trends sparked from Mzansi, Malatsi says: “African creativity has reach but not value”-and it’s time that changed.
